Was dean jagger a Mormon?

Dean Jagger did indeed convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, sometimes erroneously called the "Mormon Church." Born Ira Dean Jagger in 1903, Jagger became a character actor who made about 100 films. His first major role was as Brigham Young in the film Brigham Young, Frontiersman, made in 1940. Heber J. Grant was then the prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ, and he praised Jagger's portrayal of Brigham Young, sometimes referred to as the "American Moses." From then on, Jagger became a student of Mormon doctrine and theology. Jagger finally became a member of the LDS Church in 1972. He donated his awards, theatrical files, correspondence and five volumes of scrapbooks to the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University.
