George I (28th May 1660 - 11th June 1727) aged 67

George I was in 2nd in line to the English throne, after his mother who secured the throne for herself and her son. However, on 8th June 1714, his mother died suddenly aged 83 and George became the heir to the throne. Queen Anne died just a month later and George became King. He had his wife imprisoned which angered his son greatly. His wife died in 1726 suddenly and he refused to allow the country to mourn. On his way to Hanover on the 9th June 1727 George suffered a stroke and later died on 11th June 1727, aged 67.
