In May 1885, George Westinghouse, head of the Westinghouse Electric Company in Pittsburgh, bought the patent rights to Tesla's polyphase system of alternating-current dynamos, Transformers, and motors.
In 1888 Nikola Tesla invented the first practicable AC motor and with it the polyphase power transmission system. This system was better than the direct current motors developed by William Sturgeon in 1832 and the direct current system by Emily and Thomas Davenport in 1837. Nikola Tesla invented the electric motor with rotating magnetic field that made electric drives for machines feasible and made power transmission necessary.
Nikola Tesla was greatly influenced by Vedic philosophy, and thus the realisation that Reality is a Dynamic Unity.

1887
By 1888 Nikola Tesla built and patented his alternating current motor wich is the one to power homes and builduings today.
AC Induction Motor
He had it in mind since before leaving Europe but actually it would become reality from New York.
Her greatest dicorvey was the electric motor
Studies on electricity makes about several centuries and several scientists but Nikola Tesla pioneered the work with alternant current. His inventions with alternant current was not based on any scientist.
Nikola Tesla
The Tesla Pierce Arrow electric car was not completed until 1931 and it was never put in sale. The Tesla motor company which has electric cars is another thing. You should see my Nikola Tesla presentation which I posted in the related links box below.
Nikola Tesla worked for Edison who didn't see use for his electric motor but at the end Tesla won the war on electricity and his work lights the whole world today.
Tesla constructed the initial brushless alternating current induction motor in 1887 which he demonstrated to the American Institute of Electrical Engineers.
