Frontline was originally aired in 1983 and was created by David Flanning and aired in America by PBS. The show started with Jessica Savitch as the anchorwoman but after she died it and Judy Woodruff took over as anchorwoman the anchorman/anchorwoman status of the show was abolished and each report was introduced by the narrator.
