He kept London as the capital
He didn't reward the English. However he did start a revolution. He introduced new things like the Domesday Book, Castles and the Feudal System.
The Domesday book was useful to WIlliam the Conqueror because it was a way to know what land and goods were owned, and so he could assess taxes on all of it. The Domesday book is useful today because it is the most accurate portrait of land and economy in that area that we have of that time, so it is useful to historians and economists looking back at how things were done.
I assume you are asking about the Duke William of Normandy who became William I of England and is remembered as William the Conqueror. What I have read about him seems to indicate he was either cruel or kind, depending on the circumstances. The people who opposed him were treated very harshly, but he did things that were surprising, such as outlawing the slave trade.
it allowed William collect alot of money and to know everything about everyone e.g. like how many things people own and how many things everyone had what was worth money .
he found out which people had what things and how many of them so he knew how much to tax them

yes
William the Conqueror helped Britain in many ways such as the introduction of the Feudal system, but he also started things like the harrying of the North so he was not always good. I think it is up to you to decide, he certainly changed England though.
After the Battle of Hastings, William the Conqueror took over England. For the first time, England was connected to a country that had taken over many other cultures. England was under the French rule and William imposed new laws.

Things varied. There were a lot of kings in a lot of countries, and they had a lot of different ideas on how to do things. King William the Conqueror outlawed slavery of Christians in England in 1066. King Henry I of England outlawed the slave trade altogether in 1102. So those two kings freed slaves.
it was significant becuz he had made England become more powerful. so that's that. He brought French to England and that is why we have words like 'Parliament' which came from France. Castles such as Rochester castle were build and fighting on horseback was introduced. The domesday book was created which is the equivalent of the census we have today. They brought archery and trade across the Channel. Hope this helps!
lots of things but the main thing they did is rob monasterys
