Hans Janssen and his son Zacharias Janssen, Dutch spectacle-makers, are frequently cited as having invented the first compound microscope in 1590, but there is a good deal of dispute. They may not have. Zacharias Janssen was the one who actually made the claim, and in the middle of the 1600's. A number of historians, however, agree that it is imporbable that 1590 is correct. There is a good deal of evidence that Zacharias Janssen was born somewhere around 1590. A link is provided to the Wikipedia article on the optical microscope where a brief history of the device can be reviewed.
Anton Von Leeuwenhook first used a microscope in about 1675, and discovered many things. However, it seems that the microscope had already been invented, about 85 years earlier, by spectacle lens makers Hans and Zacharias Janssen, in 1590.
Even Robert Hooke used a microscope in 1660s. So Leeuwenhook, despite the tremendous advances he made to science with his developments of the microscope, does not appear to be the person who actually invented it.

The first true microscope was made around 1595 in Middelburg, Holland.
Zacharias Janssen (Netherlands) invented the telescope and perhaps the compound micoscope in 1590.
he didn't, but me invented the first modern microscope
The simplest answer is that they were created to see things, or details, that are too small for the human eye to see. Early tradesmen used simple lenses to see the intricate lines of engravings, or the clasps and fittings on jewelry. When eyeglass makers began combining pairs of carefully-ground lenses, they discovered the principle of optical magnification that is the basis for the microscope (and the telescope). In the case of the microscope, there were immediate practical applications in biology, anatomy, and miniature mechanical gearing.
No. Ben Franklin did not invent water skies, but he did invent swim fins.
He did not invent football.
Zacharias Janssen (Netherlands) invented the telescope and perhaps the compound micoscope in 1590.
Zacharias Janssen was the first person to invent the optical telescope. He is also known as the inventor of the compound microscope.
Hans Janssen was the supposed creator of the microscope, along with his son, Zacharias Janssen. Actually, Hans Janssen was the son of Zacharias Janssen, not the other way around. And yes they did invent the first Compound Microscope in the year 1590.
FYI he did not invent the microscope the Romans did search it on the web
question for you what did the jansen brothers discover?
him and his son helped invent the compound microscope by putting two lenses together warning they did not invent the microscope but did invent the compound microscope
Zacharias Janssen was the first person to invent the microscope and the kind of microscope he made was a compound microscope--a microscope that uses two or more sets of lenses. Plus, the first compound microscope (by Zacharias) was made around 1595 in Middleburg, Holland.
Although Thomas Edison invented many things and was a legend to the world of science, he did not invent the microscope. That gadget was invented by Zacharias Janssen.
1590
Theodor Schwan did not invent the microscope. Hans and Zacharias Jansen did. He produced the 1st compound microscope in the late 1500's.
The light microscope also called the optical microscope uses visibale light and a system of lenses. The actual inventor is difficult to name although Galileo's microscope was celebrated in 1624 and was the first such device to be given the name "microscope". There are claims that a Dutch spectacle-makers Hans Janssen and his son, Zacharias Janssen, but this was a declaration made by Zacharias Janssen himself during the mid 1600s.
