Firestar is tooken into ThunderClan as a kittypet. He trains and becomes a warrior. He did so many good things like bringing back WindClan and revealing the treachery of Tigerstar. Bluestar couldn't really think, so she just named her deputy the cat who saved her life, Firestar. Bluestar dies when she throws herself over the gorge when the pack of dogs attack. Fireheart become Firestar, the fire that will save the Clan.
Spoiler: IF YOU HAVE NOT READ OMEN OF THE STARS, I SUGGEST YOU NOT LOOK: I find it extremely ironic how Firestar dies in a fire...I mean...what...just...seriously.
Fireheart became leader of ThunderClan after Bluestar's death in the novel "A Dangerous Path". He received his nine lives and his leader name, Firestar, in the same book.
Yes, he does hence the name Firestar. Bluestar dies saving her clan and since Fireheart was the deputy at the time of her death he becomes the leader of the great Thunderclan.
Lionblaze didn't become the leader of ThunderClan, his grandfather Firestar is still the leader. In the the last book, Brambleclaw (Bramblestar) becomes leader.

Fireheart becomes Firestar in the book "A Dangerous Path," which is the fifth book in the Warriors series by Erin Hunter.
Firepaw becomes fireheart in into the wild and later in the darkest hour he receives his leader name firestar (after Bluestar dies).
He becomes Thunderclan leader.
I don't think he kills any cat as Fireheart, but he kills Scourge, evil leader of BloodClan, as Firestar.
Fireheart's sister Princess, offered one of her kits to him so that it could train to become a warrior. Fireheart ended up bringing Cloudkit (Later Cloudtail) into the clan :)
Yes, Rusty eventually becomes leader of ThunderClan under the name Firestar.
Fireheart becomes the leader of ThunderClan after Bluestar's death, taking on the new name Firestar. He leads the clan with strength and wisdom, guiding them through many challenges and battles.
When the leader of a clan dies in the Warriors book series, the deputy usually takes over as the new leader. The deputy is the cat chosen by the leader who is next in line to lead the clan.
No. In the sixth book of the original series, Scourge, the leader of Blood Clan, kills Tigerstar, leader of Tigerclan, Shadow and River clan joined together.
Yes, Rusty, Firepaw, Fireheart, and Firestar are all the same cat in the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. The cat starts as a kittypet named Rusty, joins ThunderClan as an apprentice named Firepaw, becomes a warrior named Fireheart, and eventually becomes leader named Firestar.
Well, it may sound sad, but it allows Bluestar to die. Then a flame rises from the dust (Fireheart) and claims leader of ThunderClan. His name is Firestar! So without having the book, ThunderClan wouldn't have a new leader. And Fireheart was destined to be the fire of the clan.Colleen748
Bluestar losses her last life at the end of the 5 book (A Dangerous Path) in the first series.
