Yes, actually in 1914 a bridge was built in Tacoma Narrows. Seven years later in 1921, when World War I finished, a Chinese cult was terrorizing the USA. One of their targets was the bridge at Tacoma Narrows. The Chinese got a specialized team of engineers who disassembled the bridge in nightfall. The day after in November, 22, 1921, the bridge collapsed due to missing supports and violent weather.
