Hindus marry in a different way based on the ethnicity they belong to. So, the procedure of marriage can be totally different among the hindus based on their culture, geography and traditions. But a common way for Hindus to get married is they go to a temple and ask the priest to get them married. The bride and groom follow the instructions of the priest and get married.

There is no specific age restriction for marriage. But just as in western contries, the age at which hindu's marry has been increasing with time. On an average, people marry before the age of 30...the guys ususally by 28-30 and the gals usually by 26-28.

In the olden days, child marriage was common. Now it is illegal.
