Canada have won a total of 5 gold medals in short track speed skating at the Winter Olympics, putting them second in the list of most gold medals in the event, behind South Korea, who have 17.
8 in regular track (2 gold, 4 silver, 2 bronze) and 4 in short track (3 silver, 1 bronze). Cindy Klassen led all Canadian speed skaters, as well as all athletes that competed in the 2006 Games, in medals won with 5 (1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze).
The US won 37 medals for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Short- track Speed Skating
Germany won 26 medals (10 gold, 10 silver, 6 bronze) at the 1992 Winter Games in Albertville. That ranked first of all countries participating. The 10 gold medals also ranked first.
