No, you get given them as you progress throughout the story, you find and get given codex pages, which translate to instructions for hidden blade upgrades, you take these to Leonardo da vinci and he upgrades your hidded blade. :D

∙ 12y agoThe Hidden Gun is one of the upgrades invented by Leonardo da Vinci on the wrist device (Hidden Blade) of Ezio in Assassin's Creed II. You get it by completing Memory Sequence 8. As soon as you beat it you will receive a codex page which if taken to Leonardo, will grant you the hidden wrist gun.
*Tip: Pressing and holding X/Square (Console dependant) will increase your accuracy.

∙ 14y agoIf you are talking about the Dual Hidden Blades, then you have to just progress through the story until you receive Codex Pages to upgrade you weapons. Then, you get the Dual Hidden Blade. This is also when you learn the skills of assassinating from a haystack, Air Assassination, and Ledge Assassination.
