When does a Bald Eagle learn how to fly?

The fledglings will start learning to fly between 10 and 12 weeks of age. This is when they are first leaving the nest, and exploring the immediate area, and trees near by. They will practice short hopping flights and exercise their wings, building strength over the next couple of months. For more details, see the sites listed below.
