When dogs throw up, sleep a lot, not eat, and not drink, they have parvo. I know because my dog Kozmo had parvo when he was young and it was too expensive to go to the vet everyday and get injections so my parents took the injections home and they did it themselves. He survived it, luckily. Most dogs get it when they are young but it is possible for them to get it when they are older. Good luck with you and your dog if they have it. (They can die from it.)

∙ 11y agoIt means your dog is sick and needs medical attention. If a dog vomits once and then appears to be fine, showing no other sign of illness, and doesn't vomit again, you can reasonably assume the problem has resolved itself. However, a dog that is both vomiting and not eating is a dog that has something wrong in its digestive system. This can be anything from infection to twisted stomach to cancer, and your veterinarian will need to figure that out for you.
