A kiwi is ripe when the skin yields to soft pressure with a thumb. Placing the kiwi in a paper bag along with an apple or banana will hasten the ripening process. The ripening is caused by the ethylene gas given off by the apples and bananas.

The kiwi (Actinidia deliciosa) is a subtropical fruit also known as the Chinese gooseberry. Kiwis are generally ready for harvest in late October to early November. Softening of the fruit is not a good indicator. The kiwi will continue to ripen after it has been picked. The best way to tell if it is ready to eat is to cut it open and look at the seeds. If the seeds are black, then the kiwi is ripe.

it tastes good and it will feel soft and squishy but not too squishy
When you cut it open it should be a dark green. It shouldn't taste
too bitter.

You could leave it next to a ripe banana... or leave it out of the fridge for a few minutes... or wait days for it to ripe. I think the banana one will work the best. Luck
