When should you switch from puppy food to dog food?

This usually happens around five weeks but typically the mother will take care of it. Once the puppies teeth start to come in then nursing is not so pleasant for the mother. You can start offering the puppies soaked puppy food around four weeks. They may not eat much of it but they will begin to get the idea.

you should watch to see when your puppy is about four months oldand then introduce it into the adult food and see which one it likes.(i would not recomend beneful because dogs eat it because it doesnt have the nutrients so they have to eat more.) Solid Gold is the best food. It lasts a REALLY long time like 1.5 months for a large breed dog because it has so much vitamins and nutrients.
