I started on 10 mgs of Lexapro and experienced tolerable but not fun side effects for about a month. After then, I started feeling a lot better. About a year later, my doctor and I decided to try 20 mgs. Again, I experienced tolerable but not fun side effects for about a month (maybe two at most) and then started feeling better. Again, after a year of being on 20 mgs, my doctor and I increased my medication to 30 mgs. This time I only experienced side effects for a couple weeks (one month max) and started feeling better. So, for me, the side effects lasted about a month with each increase in dosage. Hope this helpts, but it could really be different for anyone. If your side effects aren't tolerable for the time being, tell your doctor.
Lexapro demonstrates therapeutic effects after 1-2 weeks.
not sure, but i suggest gradually weaning yourself off (i.e. half your dosage, take it every other day, etc.)
I have taken them together and survived. 20 mg Lexapro with 5 mg Vicodin and 3 pints of beer. My doctor said the Lexapro and Vicodin are ok together as long as it is supervised and within the recommended dosage. The beer, probably not ok.
I don't know about "short while", as I'm not sure how long you mean. A few months? A few years? How long is "short" vs. "long" to you? I took Lexapro for about 3 years straight. Currently, 4-5 years after quitting Lexapro, my formerly normal libido has NOT returned to what I recall as a "normal" level. In fact, it's hardly there at all. I don't know if this is due to general life stress or Lexapro, but I had plenty of the same stress BEFORE I went on Lexapro, so I'm suspecting the drug had/still has something to do with it. This drug is still fairly "new" to market, and little is known about long term side effects - the manufacturers and FDA don't usually research the side effects exhaustively before approving a new drug.
hoe long does epinephrine last in the system after injection?
You should take your next dose as soon as possible. If you have been on Lexapro for a long period of time then the withdrawl effects can be unpleasant, as in causeing anxiety and/or depression in a way worse than before. If you do not like lexapro you should notify your doctor and come off of it slowly.
i took lexapro for about 6 months they had to keep increasing the dosage because it would work just for a little while i actually became allergic to the drug because of this. you should have done went thru all the symptoms of withdraw after a couple of weeks. talk to you dr.. as i said i ended up being allergic to it. because of the dosage changes and such. please talk to your dr. It took me about 3 weeks to stop feeling disoriented after I stopped lexapro
You're experiencing withdrawal. You might try weening yourself off it instead of stopping abruptly. If your dosage was too high it could easily have caused problems. How long you'll feel the effects is hard to say. It depends how long you were on it. It's also fat-soluble and can remain in your brain tissues long after it's out of your bloodstream. Kinda like LSD.
The effects last about an hour but it can vary.
Just Don't Do It .
The effects of Milk of Magnesia usually last for about 6 to 12 hours after taking it.
Not long enough, as the company went bankrupt in 2008.
