area affects pressure ,for example like when you walk on sand while wearing heels or flat shoes ,the area of heel is smaller so larger is the pressure whereas area of flat shoes is larger so smaller the pressure.
Pressure gradiant force is the change of pressure measured across a given distsnce, resulting ina net force moving from high to low pressure and is responsible for the initial movement of air.
Pressure is force divided by area, i.e. P = F / A. So the smaller A is, the larger P is. That is, when area reduced pressure increases.
Since your weight remains constant, the only variable is the area. Pressure is the ratio of Force to Area, implying that the larger the area the smaller the pressure and vice versa. Since lying down translate into occupying a larger area than when standing up, a lower pressure is exerted on the floor while lying compared to when standing on the floor.
yes i think so
Pressure = force/area This means that the larger the force, the larger the pressure. But the smaller the area, the larger the pressure.
The larger the surface area the more pressure can be spread out, therefore it is less likely to fall through the snow. As pressure = f / a.

pressure
THe larger the area the less pressure. The smaller the area the more pressure. THink of someone stepping on your foot, first with tennis shoes then with a spiky high heel. WHich would hurt more?

Hydraulic.
The greater the area, the lower the pressure. The smaller the area, the higher the pressure. I am assuming by area you mean volume. According to the Ideal Gas Law, PV=nRT, pressure and volume are inversely related. As the volume increases, the pressure will decrease and vice versa.
Pressure is defined as force divided by area. If you divide by a smaller number, you get a larger result. Try it out with some numbers.
