Black Hawk started the Black Hawk War after being mislead by the prophet. He is so special because he was the first Indian to "write" and autobiography about himself, and his travels. He was the first Indian to travel all around the united states and was a big hit. He was never a chief, but he was older and wiser than most. I highly suggest you read the book, Black Hawks Autobiography.

How did Blackburn fall out of the helicopter in Black Hawk Down?

Neither the film or the book explains why except that there was probably a control manoeuvre initiated by the pilot causing Todd Blackburn to miss the rope thus falling 70 feet . the black hawk manuvered the RPG as blackburn was grabbing the rope so he jerked and missed it and funny enough i dont know what happened to him once he got back to base
