In October 1961
In 1957, IBM released the first commercial all-transistor calculator named IBM 608.
1947 at Bell Labs. It was a germanium point contact transistor.
The transistor was created by researchers at the university of Geneva. "The first patent for a field-effect transistor principle was filed in Canada... 1925. In 1934 German physicist Dr. Oskar Heil patented another field-effect transistor."
Intel created the first million but Microsoft created the first billion.

Willim Seward Burroughs was the first to create a working calculator.
The DEC PDP-8/S introduced in late 1965 was the first commercially available desktop sized computer. It was a second generation discrete transistor machine with fewer than 1000 transistors. It came in both desktop and rackmount versions, both the same physical size.
The oldest calculator, the abacus, was invented in ancient Egypt(unknown date). The first Mechanical calculator, known as the Calculating clock, was invented by Willhelm Schickard in 1623. The first electronic desktop calculator were announced by the Bell Punch Co, in Uxbridge England in 1961. Finally, the first handheld computer was invented in 1980.
1970
The first calculator dates back to 2700 BC with the invention of the Abacus, invented in Mesopotamia. In the 1940's and 1950's, the first mainframe computers were invented, which led towards the hand-held calculators we know today. In the mid-1960's, desktop calculators were coming to fruition, and in 1970, the first "Pocket" calculator was invented in Japan by Sanyo, called the ICC 0081.
He created the first calculator at the age of 39.
The first calculator was never launched, because it was in fact a mechanical calculator.
