Real witches were rarely found out. They knew how to disguise themselves. Often, during the Salem witch trials, little old ladies growing herbs would be burned, or small children because they were easily affected by a chemical found in dry rye seeds that would make them hallucinate. The Christian's looked for any excuse. Often, a beautiful young woman would be burned at the stake simply because of her looks. If she 'allured men' or 'made them think dirty thoughts' then she was regarded as a witch for her seductive powers... *rolls eyes*
