No. You will know when you are ovulating, b/c you don't when your on the shot. That's how you don't get pregnant. The first time you ovulate after stopping the shot it might be painful, or just be sensitive where your overies are. It took me about a year after getting off the shot to ovulate, i thought i was going to die. good luck
I'm 24 and just got off the shot. I was on the shot for about 6 full years and just got my period back last month. It took about 6 months to get it back. I loved it because I never did have my period. I did talk to the doctor and they told me to get off of it after I got married. I just got married on the 23rd of May. She also stated that it was safe enough to take for up to 10 years if I wanted.
I read that it takes 10 months to get pregnant after getting off of the depo shot.
Depo takes about 12 months to leave your system. Everyone womans body is diffrent from the shom. Some women get their periods throughout taking the shot, some just bleed a little and some just dont get their period at all. But it can take up to a year to get your period after coming off the shot. I know this because I just got my period today for the first time after being off the shot for 5 months. I started worrying about it and I went to see my doctor and she said it was completley normal. And just because you get your period does not always mean your obvulating either. Your body takes a couple more months after your first period to get back on track.
Yes, it is possible to get pregnant 4 days after a missed period, especially if you just got off the Depo-Provera shot. The hormone levels from the shot can take some time to completely leave your system, but ovulation can occur as soon as a few weeks after the last injection. If you are sexually active during this time and ovulate, conception could happen. If you suspect pregnancy, consider taking a pregnancy test for confirmation.
I was on Depo for 4 years from 15 to 19 and got off it because i feared I'd never get pregnant. I went off it for a year and still no period. I got a estrogen shot at age 20 and went on ortho-tricyclin and at age 22 I missed 2 days of the pill and got pregnant....so my advice is to you is if your period hasn't returned after one year get an estrogen shot and don't go on another BC. That's just my experience and I have a perfect beautiful 3 year old now!
Not unless you were having sex.
no! he just got voted off!
If you got shot they would just chop off that body part it was very unsanitary. Say you got shot in the arm they would just cut off your arm and wrap it up. Then they would go on to the next person.
yes i have i had my baby on the 3rd of Jan and i got my period on the 13th of feb and it didnt go off until i got my second shot in April the30
"Yes you do i was on my period when i got my first shot an I've been on the shot for one year an i not had a period since" This is incorrect, they advise you to get the shot when your on your period as they need to be sure your not pregnant when you have the shot. If you've had your menstrual cycle but have not had sex since, they will still allow you to have the shot. Then you'll have to wait a certain amount of time until your protected. (they told me 7 days and this was 4 days after coming off my period) but the length of time may have something to do with where you are in your cycle.
Normal period cramps
