Yes a diabetic can drink milk. It needs to be low fat, as whole milk has a large amount of glucose and lactose in it, which the body breaks down like a sugar. My son is diabetic and he drinks 1%. It's like anything else, drink in moderation, and watch what the glucose, fructose, lactose, and other sugars content it.

∙ 14y agoMilk does not matter at all for a diabetic person- at least for type one. There are two types of Diabetes. The first relates to a problem with the pancreas producing insulin and glucagon, which cannot be helped (usually found in younger kids). The second is commonly found in adults and is related to obesity. The type of milk does not matter for a type 1 diabetic.

But it all depends on the blood sugar level and the sugar content in the milk if there is any. You never know with today's dairy companies.
