Where are equate products made?

I called the 800# on a bottle of Equate multivitamins and asked where they were made. The young man asked for the lot # and Exp date and told me that they were made in the US. That any Equate products made in Another Country had to be listed on the bottle. I don't know if that is law or if he was being honest, but that's what I was told. I have a bottle of Equate Antacids and there is nothing on the bottle about where they are manufactured.

It is dishonest to not include the country of origin on the packaging, and this should be a requirement, not an option. Just this morning, I was in a Wal-Mart looking at acetaminophen. Nearly every bottle said either made in China or "Distributed by." This needs to change, so the consumer has enough info to make an informed choice. One product used 16 words to tell me where it didn't originate, but couldn't print 3 words telling me where it did originate....
