Fourth of July fireworks are an American tradition and a New York hallmark. Every year the Macys Fireworks show over the East River attracts thousands of spectators to crowded Manhattan streets. But it turns out the best place to see the fireworks is across the river in Long Island City, Queens.

∙ 15y ago"A" Mountain. You can see them from three parking lots: Parking Lot B, Granada & Cushing)There will be food, drinks, live music, a classic car show and more! Approximately 9 p.m. (Parking Lot B, Granada & Cushing) The 13th Annual Fireworks Celebration from "A" Mountain begins. Parking is $4.00 per vehicle in TCC lots. There is restroom access. The lot at 22nd Street and the I-10 frontage road (NE corner) will be open for parking at $5.00 per vehicle. Residents may also go to the City/State Parking Garage at 498 W. Congress (near I-10. Parking is also $5.00 per vehicle and the upper decks will be closed to traffic so that people can view the show.

∙ 13y agoUntil 2009, they were in Lower Manhattan, on the East Side. Starting in 2009, they were relocated to mid-Manhattan on the West Side (approximately West 23rd to West 59th Street).
