IAT= intake are temperature sensor
ECT= engine coolant temp. sensor
No such thing as a "fuel trim sensor". Where did you come up with that? Fuel trim is a computer adjustment based on O2, MAF, ECT, TPS and other sensors.
iat, maf,ckp,tb,o2,ect,
possible bad TPS, IAC, or ECT sensors
Fuel,spark,low compression or electronics like sensors,computer ect.
Oxygen sensors, MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor, IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor, ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor, TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) all these and more send information to the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) to control the fuel mixture.
which one? low coolant or ECT?
Assuming this is a 4.3L engine the ect (engine coolant temp sensor) would be located next to the thermostat housing.
have u had the idle sensor checked? could b that or related issue such as vacume leak,egr valve ect...i had a 95 with similar issues and changed all the egr and related sensors...hope this helps
The ECT (Electronic Coolant Temperature) sensor is located under the intake manifold on the driver's side on a 1995 Taurus SHO 3.2 liter. It is on the cylinder head.
Moniters the engine coolant temparature and relays that info to the ECM.
No, it is less fuel efficient.
you need to clear the code
