It or they are either screwed into the exhaust manifold(s) or exhaust pipe. The 1991 and 1992 4.0 L OHV engines have 1 oxygen sensor The 1993, 1994, and 1995 4.0 L OHV engines have 2 oxygen sensors The 1996 and newer 4.0 L OHV engines have 3 oxygen sensors The 1997 and newer 4.0 L SOHC engines have 4 oxygen sensors The oxygen sensors installed "upstream" before the catalytic convertor(s) are used for engine management The oxygen sensors installed "downstream" after the catalytic convertor(s) are called catalyst monitors and monitor the efficiency of the catalytic convertor(s)
the o2 sensor is located on the exaust manifold
Wher is the o2 sensor on a 2006 ford f150
I have a 99 f150 w/ the v6. You actually have 4 o2 sensors. 2 upstream of the cats and 2 down stream of the cats
On the 2.0 liter 4-cylinder, there is one. On the 2.5 liter V6, there are two.
If it's like a 1991 Ford Explorer ( with the 4.0 liter V6 engine ) It has ( 1 ) oxygen sensor
Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine in your Ford Explorer Sensor 1 is in the exhaust , close to the engine , before the catalytic converter ( upstream sensor )
There are 4 O2 sensors or the 4.2L V6 F150: 1 on each exhaust pipe just after the manifold junction & 1 on each exhaust pipe just after the catalytic converter.
bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine sensor 2 is after the exhaust has passed through the catalytic converter ( downstream )
Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine ( V6 and V8 ) in your Ford F-150 Sensor 1 is in the exhaust before the catalytic converter ( upstream ) Sensor 2 is in the exhaust after the catalytic converter ( downstream )
You need to change the downstream sensor that is after the Catalytic Converter
Buy a Haynes or a Chilton manual. They will have all the wiring daigrams that you will need.
Where is the o2 sensor on a Mitsubishi pejero 1999, V6 GDI V75W
