∙ 11y agoThe definition of a "tropical country" is one that is between the two tropics (Cancer and Capricorn), i.e. within about 23 degrees of the equator. Not all countries have the same climate even in the tropics, but the conditions there are what the climate is named for.

Tropical things such as tropical countries and in this case tropical oceans are very close to the equator. That is what makes them worm all year long.
