Memory foam car seat cushions can be found online an in your local stores. I would look around and see what the prices are on them and try to get the best deal on one. Good luck with finding one.
Memory foam car seat cushion information can be obtained from a medical website such as www.webmd.com or www.drugs.com. These cushions are used to ease back pain and tension.
Instead of purchasing a complete cushion made out of memory foam, it is possible to add one or two memory foam toppers to a regular foam cushion. This will give the support but will not be as hot or as prone to permanent indentations as memory foam.
Pillows, mattresses, cushions, seat pads in furniture
All the metal components should withstand extreme heat; as for the foam seat cushion, I wouldn't expect much.
One could order a cushion for a bench window seat from the Cushion Source website. They will customize your order to match the furniture you already have.
The battery is located under the rear seat cushion. "How easy is it?" As far as I'm concerned, it's easier than the underhood mounted battery because there is no engine grime / underhood dirt to deal with. Pull up the rear seat cushion by grabbing it at the biteline (where the seat foam and back foam meet - where the seatbelts appear to come out of the seat), pull forward and then up. Remove the seat cushion and there's the battery. Undo the battery tiedown and disconnet the cables. reverse the order when the new battery is in. When replacing the seat cushion, be sure the two metal tabs go into the slots on from the seat cusion frame to the seat base before pushing the biteline back into its proper position.
The battery is under the rear seat cushion. # Push in and up on the front of the rear seat cushion. # Lift up and out on the seat cushion. # Remove the rear seat cushion from the vehicle
If you look between the seat cushion and the seat back you will find a strap allowing you to hinge the seat cushion forward, and there is a small knob on the seat back drivers side that needs to be pulled up.
Reach down in the bite-line (where the seat cushion and the seat back meet). Pull up on the seat cushion until the cushion raises above the bottom of the seat back. Pull the seat cushion towards the front. There are two metal tabs that are hooked into the front of the seat cushion that holds it in place; unhook these by moving the cushion forward. To replace, reverse the procedure, but make sure the seatbelt recepticles are exposed before pushing the seat cushion down into the bite-line.
Reach under the corners of the rear seat at either end, there are clips under the seat cushion on either side of the seat. Press these up and they will click and release the back seat cushion. If the release buttons are hard to find, jerk up the rear seat a little and the release buttons are easier to feel for. The cushion can then be lifted out.
* Working at the front of each seat cushion push the retaining tabs in then lift up on the front edge of the cushion and release the seat cushion retaining tabs. Remove the cushion from cushion from the vehicle * Detach the retaining bolts at the lower edge of the seat back * Lift up on the lower edge of the seat back and remove it from the car
Lucky you. Remove the back seat cushion and remove the maintenance cover. However... To remove the seat cushion, you need to remove the seat backs first. *DO NOT* try to pop the seat cushion off its hooks at the front. You will wreck the cushion and its hooks. Once the seat backs have been removed, you can undo the single bolt at the middle-back of the cushion, at which point the cushion pivots up and forwards to disengage the hooks.
