Lifeguarding is a great job for a 17 year old. It usually offers decent pay and helps instill a large amount of responsibility. Ability to swim, and a weekend(or longer) lifeguarding course is a must. You can find a class for around $130-$200. It can be a great job and the certification you would get are usually nationally recognized, so next year at college you would already have training and experience for a nice part time job.

when you are the age of 18 or older you can work in anything you'd like but for some jobs you need an education and many things like recommendations scholarships , ext .You can work in a store like foot locker ,macys ,or even a grocery store. Also you can work in things that you may like . It depends what do you like ?
