Her father played guitar and sang songs, thus inspiring Pink from an early age to be a pop star. Pink developed her voice early in life. In high school, Pink joined her first band, Middleground, but it disbanded upon losing a battle of the bands competition. As a teenager, she wrote lyrics as an outlet for her feelings.

∙ 14y agoPInk actually was at a club in Philadelphia, at age 15 (might be 14) she had overdosed on the drugs she was taking, the people she was with got her to "come out of it" by handing her the microphone. When she sang the owner of the club told her to come back in to sing. That's where it actually "took off" she was noticed by L.A. Who kicked her off into more of a pop, r&b type of record. Joined two other woman in a band they didn't sell a single record or even really make one so Shortly after that went through she went off into what she is today.

∙ 13y agoPink was once named as Alecia. She had a band names ZoeGirl (and R&B group) when she was not that famous yet. Then later on their label wanted Alecia Solo; So Alecia left the group then named herself Pink.
