One can try their luck in department stores around Christmas time. Also, flea markets are a good source of ornaments that other people want to sell, so there would be a good chance of finding a cat ornament. There are some websites that are dedicated to Christmas ornaments as well (in fact, catsofchritmas specifically exists just to sell you a cat ornament!)
As far as I know, no one ever ate the Chrismas tree, but my cat once ate some of the ornaments.
You can find hand blown glass Christmas ornaments at this site (http://www.christmasforest.com/cat.taf?cat=3&HDR=ornaments). Halloween glass ornaments are on this site (http://dapolonia.com/46-halloween-glass-ornaments).

Aunt Bethany's cat was electrocuted when it chewed through the Christmas lights on the tree.
It was actually Aunt Bethany's cat that was electrocuted when it chewed through the lights on the Christmas tree.
No, it is not normal for a grown-up cat to eat parts of a Christmas tree, though it is normal for cats to get into Christmas trees and sometimes cause them to fall over.

Someone that is looking for information on cat ornaments can find it at websites such as Amazon or eBay. Both of these websites offer a variety of cat ornaments as well as prices and customer reviews.
Cover the holder in something like aluminum foil to prevent the cat from getting at it.
I doubt it,my friend's kitten climbs the xmas tree all the time, she sleeps under it too
I'm sorry that you are not able to offer the fancy feast Christmas ornaments every year (only even numbered years?). If it would help, could we cat-lovers possibly offer ideas/drawings of possible ornaments that could be made, that is, if it is difficult to 'come-up-with' new ideas each year? For instance, my kitties love ornaments with bells. I really enjoy all of my old ornaments each year. Thank you! B. Pike
It depends what you put in your Christmas tree water and how your stand is built. My 12 year old cat has been drinking Christmas tree water since she was born and is still alive and kicking. However, we have never put anything in the water. This year, because we got our tree so early we bought some tree nutrients and have been adding it to the water. We also got a new tree stand so that the cats can not get into it and drink it as with the years before. I wouldn't want her drinking chemicals....
