Then you need to figure out if you're going to run the wires behind the wall or in front of the wall. For our purposes we'll say you decided to run the wires in front of the wall. Most mounts can be separated into two pieces, the piece that connects to the TV and the one that connects to the wall; separate your mount. You will then install the mount on the back of your TV. Locate a stud using several studs on your wall using a stud finder, then measure your TV and find the best stud to use so that the TV will be centered on the wall (or as close to centered as you can get). Drill the holes and attach the mount to the wall. Hook up the cables and attach the other portion of the mount that is attached to the TV to the mount on the wall. Be sure your TV is level and then tighten the screws completely.
