Are you sure that is not an Iver Johnson? What are the other markings on the gun? sales@countrygunsmith.net Forehand Arms was bought by Hopkins and Allen in 1903 and that company made some revolvers marked with the Forehand name. But the Model 1900 and owl trademark are both Iver Johnson marks. I suppose IJ could have made a few with that name sometime after H&A went out of business in 1915, but you probably have a "bitzer" combining parts of two similar guns.

Forehand Wadsworth Bulldog 5shot revolver serial 266 there is no marking on caliber Looks like Sept 26 Dec 22 81 on barrel Would like to know the value and caliber?

I just purchased one of these at a gun show, serial number 3337. Mine is fully nickle plated, about 98%, and with ivory grips. The bore is very rough, though - not unsurprising for guns made during the black powder era. The caliber is .38 rim fire black powder only. The grips have the serial number scratched into them, which indicates that they are factory original. While categorized as suicide specials along with some very cheaply made guns, these F&W versions compare favorably with similar style guns made during the same period by the "big guys" - Colt, S&W, Merwin Hulbert, Marlin, and Remington, but at 1/4th the price. The value of any gun is what someone is willing to pay at the given time. I paid $250 on 10/17/09.
