Where is settings on mac book air?

If your looking for the "Settings, Control Panels, Properties, etc." then Apple call's them System Preferences.

Hard Drive/ Applications/ System Preferences.

Dashboard/ System Preferences (the pop up bar usually at the bottom of the window)

I think you mean the System Preferances? (Apples version of the Control Panels)

Your Dock/ System Preferances or click on the Apple icon in upper left corner and select System Preferances.
