Where do you get Charmander on Pokemon pearl?

You can either get a charmander by choosing it as your first Pokemon or trading it into the game from another version, those are the only possibilities.

In Pokemon yellow however you can get one at the cerulean pier.

well i dont know if it was a glitch or something but i found a wild charmander at night in route 218 in the grass thing where its just pure grass and theres a blue shard to your left

You have to beat the Elite Four, and then transfer a charmander from any GBA game using Pal park(only unlockable after defeating the Elite Four)

I believe the glitch, but instead of route 218 i found mine at mt. coronet searching for absol on the peake when your close to spear pillar, and also i found it at route 202 when i was looking for zigzagoon who were in a pack or whatever they say about that. hope i helped. i also found bulbasaur at league road or whatever its called.

Here are the Pokemon versions and where you can encounter/obtain a Charmander in these games:

• Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow/Green: Charmander can be chosen as the Fire-type Starter at the beginning of the game. In Pokemon Yellow, after you defeated your rival and all the trainers on Nugget Bridge, go to the man on a hill in route 24 and he'll give you a Charmander.
• Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal: You will need to trade from the previous games to get a Charmander.
• Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald: You will need to trade from Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen.
• Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum: You will need to trade from Pokemon HeartGold or SoulSilver, or use the Pal Park with Pokemon FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald inserted. Whichever one has the Charmander first.
• Pokemon SoulSilver/HeartGold: You can receive a Charmander, if chosen, by Professor Oak in the Kanto region after collecting all the Gym Badges, including the ones from Kanto.
• Pokemon Black/White/Black 2/ White 2: You will need to trade for it or transfer it from Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, SoulSilver, or HeartGold.
• Pokemon X/Y: Professor Sycamore will give you the choice of the Kanto starters when you meet him in his lab in Lumiose City.
• Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire: You will need to trade for it, or transfer it via Pokemon Transfer or Pokemon Bank.

you go to mount silver, beat Red, then go to pallet town and talk to prof.oak and he will give you a choice of squirtle, charmander, or bulbasaur.

You get choose Charmander as your starter Pokémon, if you didn't pick Charmander then you will have to restart the game or trade it from somebody.
