Debbie Bliss's toy pattern book has a donkey, but I haven't been able to figure out the pattern. There's a Disney pattern for Eeyore that I got from a friend, and several small donkeys on-line, suitable for a creche but not really toy size. You can create a Ravelry account for free. When you sign into the site, search Patterns for donkey hat. Although the site has many free patterns, all of the donkey hat patterns require you to pay a fee to purchase them.
