If all your fuses appeared to have constant power, I'd have to say that your ignition was not in a fully "off" position. Possibly turned backward to the accesories setting?
12V Constant = Constant power direct from battery. 12V Switched = Accessory power only when turned to the on/accessory position (example: car stereo only turns on when the car is running or in accessory position).
I would suggest the stereo long playing record. LP switched from mono to stereo very rapidly after June 1958 and mono vanished from the market in a few years.

How do you install an after market stereo in a 1989 acura legend?
Just replaced my girlfriend's '02 Liberty stereo with an aftermarket Sony Xplod. It appears to be a bad connection with the constant hot (yellow) line running to the stereo. Her clock started to reset and all the stations, then as it progressed the stereo would die, come back, die, etc. I would recommend that you alter the wiring for the stereo or replace the stereo. Instead of messing with the old power yellow (constant +) and red (switched +) I decided to tap into the cigarrette lighters (she doesn't smoke so there's no draw/use on them anyway). The lighter on the left is a switched power source (red) and the one on the right is an always on (yellow) source. I spliced into each line, ran a pigtail off to each of the respective lines feeding the stereo and all is well now. Hope this helps some, as it is Chrysler is not known for superior wiring. Greg
No its impossible!
the ACC wire from the stereo is connected to constant power (+12V)
No Bose does not have a flip out car stereo that is available for the market.
That depends on the amount of pins the old and new stereo have - the "pins" are where you plug your wiring into in the back of the stereo and not all stereos have the same number of pins. (But wiring adapters with the suitable number of pins can be bought)
Usually in the basics of any head unit installation you need to wire everything according to color... For what your askin the constant wire coming out from your car and coming out from your stereo is yellow so look for that first
Check your fuses as this is very common when an after market stereo is installed.
