The swastika symbol is basically just the cross, but with a bent line on all the ends. They took it from the cross and bent the ends to show the Jews that they hate them. I don't know how that makes any sense, but that's what i heard.
There are several (nazi ) signs. the Swastika can be described as an attempt to draw a circle or get the idea of rotary motion across with straight lines. if one can describe the Dollar $ as an S with one or (more usually Two) vertical lines. the Swastika was used by a variety of cultures- pre-nazi in can be found in bordures in concrete on the tombs of Danish monarchs! It is probably a solar symbol it should be noted the ancient Nordics-the Vikings, did NOT have a Sun God or Goddess in their pantheon, called the Aesir. they had various gods and demigods- but did not worship the Sun. this runs counter to RA ( Egyptian) Helios and Apollo (Greco Roman) Ameratsu ( Japanese) and others. There are overtones of Sun worship in some Christian hymns ( Holy Holy Holy. Lord God Almighty !Early in the Morning, our SONG shall rise to thee- it is actually song but the imagery of the solar body. there are of course all sorts of reference to ( a New and Glorious Dawn!) in Christmas and other hymns. back to Nazis. the Iron or Maltese Cross is an eight pointed Cross. it is not the same as the Swastika but l939 era Iron Crosses had a small swastika in the center of the award- as did variants as the Knight"s Cross of the Iron Cross. The Maltese (generic) and Iron (German) cross has eight points. the SS insignia identifies the protective detachment of the SS and its various division, which had different logos- Lienstandart ( elite standard) had a stylized Key, Das Reich a big swastika, Totenkopf ( lit. Death Head) had a skull and crossbones, they were the only fully-fledged armored divisions of the Waffen-SS ( armed SS units. Other SS uhits were instructional, like the Twelfth, (Hitler Jugend) and smaller bngades like the Charlemagne recruited from occupied France. So there are many Nazi Signs.
The swastika is a symbol found in many religions and cultures that means good luck, fortune, or happiness. Hitler adopted this symbol as a means of giving the Nazi party luck -- even though he was not superstitious, he found the idea a simple yet meaningful gesture.
Hitler did not make the NAZI Emblem/logo/sign It was used in previous generations. Therefore he stole the sign.
