He began working at Edison Company in New York City where he perfected the troubles with Edison's direct current machine. After quitting on Edison, Tesla formed his own company named Tesla Electric Light & Manufacturing in 1886. In 1896 he worked and supervised the hydro plant at Niagara. When working in Niagara he had the Houston Street lab. In 1899, Tesla decided to move and began research in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Then we have the Wardenclyffe laboratory located in Shoreham, Long Island, New York. After the tower is Shoreham, he built the Telefunken Wireless Station in Sayville, Long Island. He began living in the New Yorker where he had his last living and working space.
