Here's what I found: 1. UCLA has 11 titles (Go Bruins!) 2. Kentucky has 7 titles 3. UNC has 6 titles (including 2005) 4. Indiana has 5 titles 5. Duke has 3 titles 6. Kansas has 2 titles 6. UConn has 2 titles 6. Louisville has 2 titles 6. OK State has 2 titles 6. Cincy has 2 titles 6. San Francisco has 2 titles Another tidbit: UNC and Duke are the closest Division I schools...I think they are 7 miles from each other. UNC's 2005 win makes 5. The "interesting tidbit" above was purely conjecture on the part of the author and not researched at all. Furthermore, it couldn't be further from the truth. Just one example would be The University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University, about 1 mile apart. There are many other examples as well.
