Eveything about us, our world as well as the universe involves mathematics. Absolutely everything can be broken down into a mathematical equation. The trees, mountains, stars, the air we breathe. The existence of math is in itself an act of creation. We define mathematic's as ' ...any form of calculation..' whether we write it, say it or think it, we are alway's using math. From picking up a glass of water to throwing a football we are alway's calculating. We know that the speed of light is about 186,000 miles per second, human's did not invent or create this eqation, we discovered it. This means that the equation was already in place long before humans came into being just waiting to be found. Where did the math come from? God is a mathetician of the highest degree, it was Him that figured out just how big the earth should be, how much air and water it could hold, how much life it can support, the precise orbit and distance from the sun and constructing an ozone layer to protect it all. From hearts that beat 60 times a minute to setting our clocks based on the position of the planets accurate to within 2/10,000ths of a second. We see God's work evidenced with mathematics throughout creation.

Mathematics is used in various applications that impact on your daily life. The most basic of all is going to the shop and purchasing something, you need to see how much an item is, whether you have enough money and ensure that you have the correct change once you have paid for it. On more sublime level, pretty much every engineered product that you see in everyday life owes its existence in some part to mathematics or the use of mathematical formula to bring it into existence. Mathematics is used to calculate the variables in the construction of your house, how your alarm clock works in the morning, how your computer and telephone work, how your car works and how safely it operates, how strong the bridge is that you drive your car over, the angle of the bridge trusses etc. Not everyone appreciates or even understands the various formula that work their way into everyday life. The easiest way to comprehend this is to take a simple engineered object and see how it was built, what is made of and how it works. By doing this you can quickly appreciate how mathematics impacts daily life.
