That's between Varrock and the Barbarian Village - a bit south from the path.

You can find the location of any altar in the RuneScape manual - look for Skills, then Runecrafting. There are maps for each of the altars. You can also use a Talisman (in this case, an Air Talisman), that have an option to tell you the direction at which the altar is located.

In RuneScape how do you rune craft?

First you have to do the quest "Rune Mysteries" - it is a prerequisite both to mine rune essence, and to do the actual runecrafting. Then you get some rune essence (either you mine it, or you buy it on the Grand Exchange), take an air talisman or an air tiara, and go to the air altar. (At first you will only be able to craft air runes.) The air altar is located south of Falador; you can look it up on the maps in the RuneScape manual, or let the air talisman guide you. Once you know where to find it, an air tiara is better; it doesn't show you the way, but since you can put it on your head, it saves you one inventory space. You click on the "mysterious ruins" to enter the air altar (the talisman or tiara is required for this), then click on the air altar to convert your rune essence to air runes. A "Teleport to Falador" spell will save you some time; but you can also walk back.First you have to do the quest "Rune Mysteries" - it is a prerequisite both to mine rune essence, and to do the actual runecrafting. What does locate talisman do in RuneScape?

The "Locate Talisman" interaction with the talisman will guide you to the altar of whichever type the talisman is and if you click "Use Talisman" and use it on the ruins you will find once you arrive, it will transport you to the altar. This option allows you to craft runes that are used for magic casting in the game. To craft runes, use the talisman on the stone altar once you reach it to bring you inside the altar and use Rune Essence (see below) on the stone in the middle of the room. The Air Talisman is also a quest item as well as one of the items mentioned above. It is used in the quest called, "Rune Mysteries". After you complete the quest, you can get Rune Essence, which is basically a rune that hasn't been made into a specific one yet - so it's not a Earth Rune, Air Rune, Body Rune, etc. It's just a blank Rune.
