Where do you find a wizard?

If you are looking for the old guys with long flowing beards, wearing long robes and pointy hats,and carrying a staff (or wand); my best suggestion would be to look in a book of fiction, or check out movies and television shows (also works of fiction).

If you are looking for a wizard in a computer game, I am afraid I can`t be of much help, but I am sure there are others who can be of much more assistance.

If you are looking for a real live wizard, you have a long search ahead of you. I only know of two true wizards, one is a friend, the other is her mentor.

- The friend, is a woman who has been studying alchemy for the last ten or so years. She took a turn from the spirituality of our pagan path into the `pure science`of wizardry when she realized she did not feel the need for spirituality, or god (upper case, lower case, singular, plural, male, female or unknown) in her studies.

She has studied and researched on her own using old writings, and manuscripts. When last we spoke she compared alchemy to chemistry, but with older reference material and stranger ingredients.

- Her mentor is a gentleman I have only met once, he is at this point very old and has been `dabbling`in wizardry (spells, potions, magic, and alchemy for decades). He also is of a `scientific`mind and does not see the need to add spirituality to his practice.
