The 3.8L uses a standard electronic ignition, with plug wires. Follow the plug wire down to the opening in the head for each plug. There are 6 plugs, 3 on each side of the engine (front and back of the block since the engine is transverse mounted). The back three are much harder to find than the front three, but are in similar positions. The 3.5L engine uses "coil over plug", so there are no plug wires. The spark plugs are under coil packs bolted onto the heads by 7 small bolts. The coil pack looks like an aluminum heatsink, about 3 x 11 inches in size, with a connector on the end holding several 20 guage wires. There is one on each head (front and back). Each plug is connected to the coil pack by a rubber sleeve holding a spring, about 5 inches long. Most 3.5L Intrigues have a plastic engine cover that must be removed. This cover is all for looks, and unbolts with two small bolts in the front. The cover then can be lifeted off and unhooked from the clamp bracket on the back.
