Removing a spare tire is easy to do from a Chevy Suburban. The tire is removed with the tool that is located on with your jack.
If it is the same as on 2000 suburban its located in the cargo area on the drivers side, there is a rectangle plastic bowl near the window, pull that out and the jack is mounted inside.
