The sensor id located on thr top left side of the rear differential, held in with 1 bolt, pry it out, buy a new one at any parts store. The sensor pickes up the signal from a toothed ring attached to the ring gear, and sends the signal to the processor behind the speedometer needle. If the needle wavers, then it is that processor that is bad, a common problem.
The speed sensor on a 1994 Honda Civic is located on top the of the transmission. To replace it unplug the sensor from the wire harness then the remove mounting bolts and assembly from the transmission.
There are two speed sensors on the front of the transmission and one abs wheel speed sensor at each wheel bearing. There are two speed sensors on the front of the transmission and one abs wheel speed sensor at each wheel bearing.
Need to know if you are asking about the vehicle speed sensor, a front wheel speed sensor or rear wheel speed sensor.
The Vehicle Speed Sensor will be on top of the transmission, at the transmission output. Wheel Speed Sensors will be located at each wheel.... the latter are for ABS.
there are 4 wheel speed sensors, 1 transmission input, 1 transmission output speed sensor.
There are two on the front of the transmission and an abs sensor at each wheel. The speedometer signal comes from the transmission output speed sensor, which is the far driver side sensor on the front of the transmission case. There are two on the front of the transmission and an abs sensor at each wheel. The abs wheel speed sensors are at each wheel bearing. The transmission has an input and output speed sensor mounted on the front of the transmission case. The vehicle speed signal comes from the transmission computer via the output speed sensor.
I would check and probley replace the speed sensor that's in the transmission tail shaft if it is a 2-wheel drive. 4-wheel drives have them in the transfur case. Speed sensor can cause your problems.
No, the wheel speed sensors monitor the wheel speed for the ABS and the TCS. The speed sensor mounted in the transmission monitors the vehicle speed for the speedometer/odometer and transmission controls.
The speed sensor (transmission revolution sensor) is located on the left side of the bellhousing near the top. Access is through the driver's side wheel well. I'm at the wheel well and i cant see the speed sensor
The 1990 Toyota speed sensor is located on the back of the transmission. There also is a speed sensor on the front passenger wheel.
Assuming you're talking about the Vehicle Speed Sensor, and not a Wheel Speed Sensor, it's located on top of the transmission, just about the transmission output shaft. Unplug the weatherpack terminal, unthread the VSS, installation is the opposite of removal.
