When a Tsunami comes, there are several things that you should do. You should start by getting away from the Tsunami as far as possible and try to inform the relevant authorities so that there can be proper disaster management.

∙ 15y agoA tsunami can happen with little warning so sometimes it is impossible to escape, but the best place to go if you do have warning would be to go inland, and to higher ground. If that is impossible, try to find a strong structure, and brace yourself for impact. Get as high as possible in the building.

because when the tsunami hits there's no turning back.

If you are on a boat your best bet, assuming sufficient warning, is to head out to deep sea as rapidly and as far as you can, and hope the wave will pass you before the shallows cause it to turn from a pure swell-type wave into a powerful mass of tumbling water!
