The first book has the four orphaned Alden children, Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny, running away and living in an abandoned boxcar to avoid being split up. They eventually go to live with their grandfather and each book after that in the series is one of their adventures/mysteries. I highly recommend these books, you will not be disappointed!

OMG I LOVE THEM YOU WILL SERIOUSLY NEVER EVER REGRET READING THEM I HAVE BEEN READING THEM FOR 3 YEARS AND I KEEP ON HOPING SOMEONE WILL MAKE MORE OF THE BOXCAR CHILDREN BOOKS READ THEM!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. its about these 4 kids that are exploring the world and solving mysteries after they meet their rich grandfather who they thought was mean but is really nice.
