Where does a guinea pig sleep?
They sleep in hay in a cage
my guinea pig likes to sleep when it is dark. they might keep you up, but just wait awhile and they will soon fall asleep. when i first got my guinea pig she didn't sleep but once they are comfortable they will go to sleep
to sleep on their back
Guinea Pigs are diurnal, which means that the are lively during the day and sleep at night.
i happen to have a guinea pig and he does not sleep with his eyes open so i say no.
A guinea pig spends time during the day and the night sleeping. They usually rests lots and eats during the day and they mostly sleep at night.
Guinea pigs sleep in there cage on the floor.....Or if you dont like that you can buy little guinea pig beds at the petstore for luxury...
no, they are not nocturnal, they sleep at night.
Your guinea-pig can sleep although only one of mine used to do that, but then he eventually got really skinny and had diarrhoea and died :(
Yes; guinea pigs will lie down to rest or sleep.
yep. my guinea pig does, and in the wild, it tricks their pretadors into thinking they are awake and watching out. if your guinea pig feels extremely relaxed, comfortable, or safe, she or he will occasionally sleep with its eyes closed.
as long as there is one person there to comfort the guinea pig too eg: feeding it its favourite food there is often no need for drugs as the guinea pig will be relaxed
yes you can but you need to make sure to not crush them.
Buy a guinea pig anyway, and just say you saw it on the street like a bum, and it asked you for $5 but you offered it a home and a place to sleep.
do you mean nocturnal? if so then the answer is no, guinea pigs are awake during the day and sleep at night.
No! Really, no! It is a guinea pigs natural instinct to sleep with it's eyes open because in the wild they had to watch for predators and always be alert. A guinea pig will only sleep with his/her eyes closed if they are extremely content or they feel safe.
cuddle it up in a nice warm shirt or blanket and put in on you so it knows its safe and stand really still. and so as your still with the guinea pig you will see the eyes close and sleep
The pregnant guinea pig will eat + drink more. She will also sleep alot and in a 'unnormal' way. Her belly will also increase in size.
He or she is probably going to sleep.
Think about it. Why do baby people sleep.
Guinea pigs shouldn't sleep that much at night, since as far as i know, they are nocturnal. Your piggie may sleep some of the night, but not the whole night most likely.
because guinea pigs sleep in the mornig and wake up in the night.
No,if a Guinea Pig is allowed to kept outside, all kinds of predators may harm the poor Guinea Pig.Also,Guinea Pigs may get sick easily due to changes in the weather if he is kept outside.
Guinea pigs are not nocturnal neither do they sleep at night always. They are most active at dawn and dusk. When you see a guinea pig laying or sitting still with their eyes open, they may be sleeping. Guinea pigs can sleep with their eyes open. I think they just take a lot of naps and can be awake and playing at almost any time if they are given enough resting time on the side.

you put in hay for it to sleep in, a bowl of pellets, something to entertain the guinea pig, and a log house for the guinea pig to hide in. sawdust in a huch or newspaper in a cage. give it fresh fruit and vegtables, let it have a run about outside, and handle it everyday.
Yes, as long as the garage isn't occupied by a car. If it is, then this is not a safe environment for your guinea pig to live in because the fumes from the car will poison your guinea pig, which could lead to a fatality. Hope this helps!!:)
Apperently they sleep with them closed. acually, once my guinea pig started snoring with its eyes open, so dont be so sure.....
Never keep a guinea pig in a garage because car fumes, no matter how little will make it ill. Anyway, how would you like to sleep in the garage?
Nesting boxes are used so guinea pigs have a place to sleep, have a place to have babies, and have a place to sleep in. If you are wondering whether to get a nesting box, i suggest you do get one.
depends what its dying of? . if its in distress it might be a good idea to have it put to sleep - if they do that to guinea pigs?
hay, paper shreddings yh basically the same as a guinea pig/hamster
just to let you know guinea pigs sleep with their eyes open for danger it is in their blood don't worry
A guinea pig always needs food. They basically run, eat, and sleep, generally. So you should have constant hey and pellets for the pigs and occasional treats.
Hi , You can tel when a guinea pig is sleeping because they usually lay flat (so nno bones are standing) and their eyes are usually closed. They sleep on their side or up usually.
if your guinea pig is ill they will: stop eating, or may over eat; they will gain/loose weight; they will want to be left alone; they will sleep more than normal; and they will become cranky.
yes they do well mine does and they close their eyes if they are tired -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Really? It's physically impossible for a guinea pig to do this.
Well if your guinea pig is going to get put to sleep its probably for a good reason. Most vets do not put healthy guinea pigs to sleep, so your pet probably has a health problem that they can't do anything about and don't want the animal to suffer. If this isn't the reason than it would be inhumane to put the animal to sleep and you should object to it. Make apparent your strong… Read More
There are 2 answers: 1.Stomach cancer could be the case.Take your guinea pig to the vet as soon as you see any signs of a tumor.Sadly, there is no cure. You can either take your piggy to the vet to have it put to sleep,or sometimes an operation is available(It doesn't usually work.)Your guinea pig will die. 2.If you have more than one guinea pig, it could have been in a fight. You can take it to… Read More
Give it some peace & quiet..? (I'm not really sure..)
Because it doesn't really care as long as it is reasonably dry and warm.
A guinea pig is a rodent. Remember that a guinea pig is not related to a pig.
there is no guinea pig talk just talk softly to your guinea pig so it doesn't get frightened.
no but usually a guinea pig will wait till it is quiet or there is no one in the room to go to sleep. if it goes to sleep with you in the room then that means it doesnt see you as somthing that might eat it.

The phenotype of the black guinea pig is black, and the pheno type of the white guinea pig is white.
Guinea pigs DO sleep. They actually sleep with their eyes open, because of natural instinct. In the wild, they had to watch for predators, so they slept with their eyes open to always be alert.
