Temporary hair colors, such as spray-on or wash-out dyes, sit on the outer layer of the hair shaft. They do not penetrate the hair cuticle like permanent hair dyes. Temporary colors typically last through a few washes or until the color is deliberately removed.

To remove temporary hair dye, try using a clarifying shampoo to help lift the color from your hair. You can also try using a mixture of equal parts baking soda and anti-dandruff shampoo, applying it to your hair, and letting it sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing. Additionally, a vitamin C treatment can help fade the color faster.
After dyeing your hair with Kool-Aid, it's best to let it sit for at least 1-2 hours for the color to fully absorb and set. You can also cover your hair with a shower cap or plastic wrap to keep the color from dripping or fading. Rinse your hair with cool water, then apply conditioner to help seal in the color.
you have to bring a pot of water to a boil and add the packet of kollaid to thw boiling water and put it in a cup that wont melt a depending on how dark your hair is leave it fo an hour mine i had to sit in one spot for 3 hours cuz how dark my hair was and it wont come out for a while i did my hair 6 months ago and the dye is still in my hair.
You cannot turn a permanent hair colour into a semi permanent hair colour. Permanent colours are made of small colour molecules that need a developer to create the chemical reaction required for the colour molecules to penetrate the hair shaft and tint to the desired shade. True Semi permanents are pretty much topical with mainly large colour molecules. (which is why you see the shade while the product is still in its original packaging) They require no developer as they sit ON TOP of the hair shaft with fewer smaller colour molecules that penetrate the cuticle.

You can spray some lemon juice on it and sit in the sun. When its dry you'll definitely see some changes and its not permanent.
Just Take a sample of the colour you are wanting.. If your really worried, your colourist will sit down and talk you through all your options! Xxx
* If you put lemon juice in your hair and then sit in the sun, it will bleach your hair. * If you mix up some henna powder and then pour it over your head in the shower before shampooing then you will have auburn highlights which look good on everyone!
Manic Panic dyes are basically just a conditioning coat because they're not permanent, so they just sit on top of your hair. So it's not necessarily healthy for it, but it's definitely not harmful either. good luck:)

Yes. Demi-permanent compounds only coat the hair, not penetrating the hair shaft. Stripping the dye away using shampoo is a natural process, although it is gradual. Your hair should return to it's original shade by about 10-25 washings. One note is that gray hair can retain the color, being more noticeable when the base color (ash, red, platinum) takes longer to disolve off the hair. If this is the case, see your hairdresser. She has products which will remove the residue. **In my experience this isn't true - I have dark blonde hair and have used nothing other than dark reddish brown semi- or demi-permanent color in the last few years. I decided to go lighter, and have used 4 different semi-permanent color removers now. It has lightened slightly, but is nowhere near my natural color - except for about 1" at the roots. If your hair is at all damaged, even from using a blow-drier, semi-permanent color will get into the hair and will not completely wash out. Demi-permanent color is much more gentle on your hair than permanent color, but if its important to you to go back to your natural color, I wouldn't risk using it. it grows to normal color so i doubt where you dye will go back just let it grow out and cut the end is all i can say to do.
